2008 Collectors Tile: Sea Shells of New England
 Our fourth Annual Collectors’ Tile celebrates the diverse sea shells found along the New England Coast. Included in the montage of 8 different shells nestled together in the pattern are Blue Mussels, Dog Whelks, Quahogs, Periwinkles, Scallops, Moon Snails, Limpets, and Slipper Shells.
Each tile is made from high fire porcelain, embossed with the pattern in low relief, then hand dipped in a glaze formulated to pool into and accentuate the design. Every tile is signed and dated. The tile comes with cork feet on its back so it works great as a trivet or simply hung on the wall with a plate hanger as a decorative accent to any room. A drawing is included identifying each of the 8 shells depicted on the tile.

Kid's Activity
 Kid’s can make their own Kings or Queens paper crown! They can then add paper “jewels” to the crown that they color themselves! Our friend Alison will be in charge of the kid’s table. She has been the Director of the Museum School at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, MA and most recently taught a Pop-Up-Book Class to kid’s at the Narrow Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA. Thanks for helping, Alison!

 As always there will be an array of homemade goodies from recipes thanks to Mom Winn. If they can satisfy Bruce’s sweet tooth they can satisfy anyone’s! To go along with the sweets we will be serving Mike’s Grandma Howle’s Special Spring Punch.

We’re going to be on national TV! We’ve been working all winter on a huge order for a home shopping network. They are giving us a whole hour for just our pottery. Both of us will be on the show interviewed for the hour by one of their hosts. For legal reasons we can’t say the network's name but suffice to say it’s a big one! (Don’t tell anyone but we’ll be appearing June 24th at 6 a.m!) |
